6 Days Cape Town, South Africa – Table Mountain, Wine Lands & Coastal Drives

Arrive at Cape Town International Airport. Your representative meets you at arrivals and transfers you to the hotel. Check in and spend the afternoon at leisure — the waterfront is walkable from most central hotels and worth an evening stroll. Dinner at your own choice of restaurant.

Leave the hotel at 9:00 AM for Table Mountain. Take the cable car to the summit — weather permitting, you get 360-degree views across the city and coastline. If the mountain is under cloud, the tour moves to Signal Hill instead, which has its own views worth seeing. City tour of the Cape Town CBD follows — the Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, the Company's Garden, and the central streets. Afternoon drive to the Atlantis Dunes outside the city for sandboarding and quad biking. Back to the hotel in the evening.

Pick up at 9:00 AM and drive to the Cape Winelands. Stellenbosch is South Africa's premier wine-growing region — you'll taste across several estates, paired with local cheeses. Continue to Franschhoek, a small town settled by French Huguenots in the 1600s, with the architecture and food culture to show for it. End the afternoon at Café Stark-Condé Wine Farm in Stellenbosch before driving back to Cape Town.

The longest day and the most varied. Drive south from Cape Town along the Atlantic Seaboard — Green Point, Sea Point, Clifton, and Camps Bay — with the Twelve Apostles mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. Continue to Hout Bay fishing village, over Chapman's Peak Drive to Noordhoek, then south to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. Optional funicular to the lighthouse at the top. Afternoon in Simon's Town and Boulders Beach penguin colony. Drive back through Kalk Bay, St James, and Muizenberg along the False Bay coast. Back at the hotel by 6:00 PM.

Morning ferry from the V&A Waterfront to Robben Island — check in at the Nelson Mandela Gateway at least 30 minutes before the 9:00 AM departure. The 35-minute crossing gives you views of Table Mountain from the water. On the island, your guide — often a former political prisoner — takes you through the maximum-security prison, Nelson Mandela's cell, the lime quarry where prisoners worked, and the Robert Sobukwe house. The full experience runs three and a half to four hours including the return ferry. Afternoon free to explore the V&A Waterfront, shops, and restaurants independently.

Hotel pickup at 11:00 AM for transfer to Cape Town International Airport.
