These terms apply to anyone who uses the Move Expeditions website (moveexpeditions.com) or books travel services through us. By using this website or making a booking, you agree to these terms.

If you don’t agree with any part of them, please don’t use the site or make a booking — and contact us if you have questions before proceeding.

About Move Expeditions

Move Expeditions Limited is a licensed travel company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We plan and coordinate travel experiences including safaris, beach holidays, international tours, and corporate travel. Our physical address is Brookside Park, Matundu Close, Nairobi, Kenya.

Bookings and Payments

Making a booking A booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from Move Expeditions and a deposit has been received. Verbal agreements or enquiries do not constitute a confirmed booking.

Deposits and full payment Most bookings require a deposit to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due before your travel date. We’ll confirm the deposit amount and payment deadline when we send your quote.

Pricing All prices quoted are valid at the time of quotation. Prices may change due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, park fee adjustments, or third-party rate changes before full payment is received. We’ll notify you of any significant changes before confirming.

Payment methods We accept bank transfers and mobile money. Payment details are provided on your invoice. We do not store credit card information.

Cancellations and Changes

Cancellations by you If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellation fees depend on how far in advance you cancel and what has already been paid to third parties on your behalf:

• Cancellations made more than 60 days before departure — deposit forfeited
• Cancellations made 30–60 days before departure — 50% of total cost forfeited
• Cancellations made less than 30 days before departure — 100% of total cost forfeited

Some bookings — particularly gorilla trekking permits, peak season safari lodges, and international flights — have stricter cancellation terms set by the supplier. These will be communicated clearly at the time of booking.

Changes by you We’ll do our best to accommodate date changes and itinerary adjustments. Changes made close to departure may incur additional costs depending on supplier terms. Some components — particularly permits and airline tickets — may be non-transferable.

Cancellations by Move Expeditions In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking due to circumstances beyond our control — natural disasters, civil unrest, park closures, or similar — we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a full refund of amounts paid or an alternative date or itinerary where possible.

Travel Documents and Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring you have:

• A valid passport with at least six months validity beyond your travel dates
• All required visas for your destination countries
• A yellow fever vaccination certificate where required
• Any other health documentation required by your destination

We provide guidance on entry requirements when you book, but the responsibility for obtaining the correct documents rests with you. Move Expeditions is not liable for any costs incurred due to inadequate travel documentation.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance before travel. This should cover medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, lost luggage, and personal liability.

Some packages include basic emergency assistance — check your booking confirmation for details. This does not replace a full travel insurance policy.

Move Expeditions is not liable for costs arising from medical emergencies, trip interruptions, lost property, or other events that would typically be covered by travel insurance.

Our Responsibilities

Move Expeditions acts as an organiser and coordinator of travel services provided by third parties including airlines, hotels, lodges, safari operators, and transport companies. We take care in selecting reputable suppliers, but we are not the direct provider of these services.

We are responsible for:

• Accurately representing the services included in your package
• Coordinating your itinerary and communicating with suppliers on your behalf
• Providing professional, responsive service before, during, and after your trip
• Notifying you promptly of any changes that affect your booking

We are not responsible for:

• Delays, cancellations, or changes caused by airlines or other transport providers
• Acts of nature, extreme weather, or events beyond reasonable control
• Loss, damage, or theft of personal property during your trip
• Injury or illness during activities arranged by third-party operators

Wildlife and Safety

Safari and wildlife activities involve inherent risks. Animals are wild and unpredictable. All game drives and guided activities are conducted by qualified guides following established safety protocols. You are required to follow your guide’s instructions at all times.

Move Expeditions and its partners are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from failure to follow safety guidelines.

Website Use

The content on moveexpeditions.com — including text, images, itineraries, and pricing — is provided for general information purposes. We do our best to keep it accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that all information on the site is complete or up to date at all times.
